چکیده

2014 Resonant scattering of sound by finite physical structures is considered as a possible means of producing bistability in diffusion of sound waves. Nonlinear dependence of the sound propagation velocity upon the sound intensity is needed in order to provide proper conditions for the insurgence of bistability. Multistability behaviour is considered as a possibility in the concurrence of proper physical cases. Revue Phys. Appl. 20 (1985) 365-368 JUIN 1985, PAGE Classification Physics Abstracts 43.25

Modelling of Resonance Frequency of MEMS Corrugated Diaphragm for Capacitive Acoustic Sensors (TECHNICAL NOTE)

In this paper, a new model for resonance frequency of clamped circular corrugated diaphragm has been presented. First, an analytical analyzes has been carried out to derive mathematic expressions for mechanical sensitivity of diaphragm with residual stress. Next by using Rayleigh's method we present mathematical model to calculate the resonance frequency of corrugated diaphragm and investigate ...

Intervalley scattering by acoustic phonons in two-dimensional MoS2 revealed by double-resonance Raman spectroscopy

Double-resonance Raman scattering is a sensitive probe to study the electron-phonon scattering pathways in crystals. For semiconducting two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenides, the double-resonance Raman process involves different valleys and phonons in the Brillouin zone, and it has not yet been fully understood. Here we present a multiple energy excitation Raman study in conjunction ...

Spatio-Temporal Characterization of Bio-acoustic Scatterers in Complex Media

Characterization of biologically-induced ocean reverberation features is key to effectively parameterize acoustic models and thus ultimately improve the detection performance of long-range SONAR systems. In particular, scattering from fish schools can significantly contribute to volume reverberation in the open ocean measured by mid-frequencies tactical SONAR (1kHz-10kHz), especially if the res...

Feasibility of Ocean Acoustic Waveguide Remote Sensing (OAWRS) of Atlantic Cod with Seafloor Scattering Limitations

Recently reported declines in the population of Atlantic cod have led to calls for additional survey methods for stock assessments. In combination with conventional line-transect methods that may have ambiguities in sampling fish populations, Ocean Acoustic Waveguide Remote Sensing (OAWRS) has been shown to have a potential for providing accurate stock assessments (Makris N.C., et al. Science 2...
